This is the Grax Domain. It's a blog site, so its main purpose is for me, Grax, to store my life, my thoughts, my creations and so on. You're more than welcome to have a read, you may learn something.
Last weekend I was camping with a few of my buddies in Donnington Park, Derby. Why? Because I was watching lots of rock and metal bands at the Download Festival. It was pretty awesome. No... It was more than awesome, it was epic!
Each band that I saw, from Korn to ZZ Top to SevenDust, managed to entertain me in their own way. Even Marylin Manson, who was quite obviously under the influence of some kind of drug with his screeching, tantrums and general lack of crowd interaction. But for me the best band there was Faith No More. They were everything that I wanted and more. Standing about 6 people from the front barrier I sang, I danced, I basked in their performance.
On top of all that I met some pretty fun camping neighbours as we not only enjoyed the music, but went down to The Village (which consisted of fairground rides and dancing venues) and partied until daylight each night.
It was the best festival that I had ever been to and I don't know how it'll ever be topped.
I've uploaded some photos of the festival weekend along with a video of the Silent Disco that I went to. Man, that disco was surreal. Everyone was given a set of headphone, complete with two radio frequencies and a mute button. You get to choose which music channel to listen to and the room is silent. Well apart from everyone singing along to whatever they are listening to.
Back in March 2009 I went to PXFest and recorded some video footage of the event. However I never actually got around to until the main man of PXFest, Float, kept bugging me to upload it. So here it is. Hope you're happy dude, now get off my back!
Now with extra Slaps footage at the pub during PXFest 2009.
I've not been keeping up with my blog for the past month after that Jack in the Green entry because all sorts of things have been happening. Including working, going to Scotland for a week, finding out my grandfather has advance lung cancer, seeing a gig, saying goodbye to a really good friend at the airport, which really sucked. So unfortunately I've been neglecting my blog for a while.
But now everything should be settling down for the foreseeable future I'm going to get back on track with my blogging duties, including uploading videos that have are on the backlog. That should keep some people satisfied.
